LEED

LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices.

LEED transforms the way we think about how buildings and communities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated across the globe. These certified buildings save money and resources and have a positive impact on the health of occupants, while promoting renewable, clean energy and help business owners and operators be environmentally responsible and use resources efficiently.

As a member of the United States Green Building Council-Long Island Chapter (USGBC-LI), GLS takes a proactive role with respect to education, leadership and support of sustainable strategies and energy savings. To date we have completed and/or are currently working on 66+ projects since the creation of the LEED rating system.
